Oppo A78 is an official mid-range 4G smartphone released by Oppo Bangladesh in the year 2023. It has a few positive sides and some strong negative sides as well. The first one is that the configuration of the phone is very low, considering its cost. Let’s start with the performance side, which is very important. It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset which you’ll get in a lot of phones between BDT 15,000 to BDT 20,000 at the time of its release. Even though the phone offers 8 GB RAM and up to 8 GB RAM added virtual RAM option, it stays way behind in terms of gaming performance. There is no way for us to recommend this device to mobile gamers for what they have to pay.
Then let’s come to the camera section. Its 50 MP primary camera is reasonably okay. You can expect vibrant colors with a fair amount of details and so on. But there is no ultrawide lens or any stabilization for the Full HD video recording. You can get EIS for HD (720p) video recording but it’s pretty low spec on a BDT 27,000 phone. The video quality is also very average. The 8 MP selfie camera is not suitable at all and you’ll get cameras like this under BDT 15,000 budget. It has no noise cancellation microphone as well. Then the 430 nits peak brightness is pretty low for a mid-range screen.
Despite some major negative sides, the gadget has a few advantages as well. The first one is that you can expect between 1.5 to 2 days battery backup for regular usage and about 7 hours of screen-on-time. The 67 watt charger takes a maximum of around 45 minutes to fully charge the device. Then the design looks pretty elegant. There is Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front, as well as IP54 dust and splash resistance. Its Full HD+ AMOLED screen is charming. Then the UI is very well optimized and will provide you with a smooth experience for high-level multitasking. The UFS 2.2 256 GB ROM is well-suitable. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. You may not have any heating issues with this device.
