Infinix Hot 30i is an entry-level smartphone with a few positive features and a few weak sides as well. Let us start with the weak side for the peace of mind and for you to know if you’d still consider this phone after knowing them. The first issue is that the chipset is MediaTek Helio G37. This performs lower than the Unisoc T606. You’d get a T606 chipset for around BDT 10,000 so, why would you pay higher for a lower performance phone? That’s a very legit question. To put it simply, this is not a good choice for mobile gamers or for any user who puts overall performance on the upper side of their priority. This is the crucial disadvantage of this phone. The 5 MP front camera and the 10W charger are on the mediocre side as well.

Now let’s move to the positive sides. The gadget comes with a diamond-cut design on the back. This is simply gorgeous and should please just about anyone we believe. There are also a few colors to choose from to match different tastes. There is no official IP rating, but it has seals on buttons and ports, so it might tolerate water splashes. The HD+ screen is expected and there is a 90Hz refresh rate with it. The waterdrop notch may bug you a bit, though.

The cameras aren’t the best, but you can’t expect too much for this cost. You’ll still get adequate shots in proper daylight scenarios. There is a dual-LED flash and up to 1080p@30fps video recording facility. Infinix is offering two years of security patches, but the phone runs on Android 12 and there was no mention of an Android 13 update. So, the older version of the Android is another negative side of it. There is up to 8 GB RAM option with an extra 8 GB virtual RAM. But because of the weaker chipset, the amount of RAM wouldn’t add much to the performance. There is a side mounted fingerprint sensor which is fast and accurate.
